As your new journey in motherhood begins, one of the most exciting projects is creating a dreamy nursery for your little one. My mother-in-law and I worked hard on crafting the most dreamy room for Laney. The result was a room that exuded beauty, warmth, and an air of pure delight. As I reminisce about this lovely space, I can't help but share the intricate details that went into its creation, hoping to inspire fellow girl moms as they embark on their nursery design endeavors.

The Details

We decided to use Spoonflower wallpaper to transform our nursery, creating an accent wall that set the tone for the entire room. We carefully selected fabrics and accessories to complement the wallpaper, ensuring a cohesive design throughout the space.

But the wallpaper didn't stop at the accent wall; we extended its charm to the back of the closet. Opting for an open closet design with curtains allowed the wallpaper to shine through, adding a delightful touch that brought the room together.

As a fan of the cottage farmhouse look, I embraced a variety of patterns that harmonized seamlessly. Mixing patterns like florals and plaids can work wonders when they complement each other. I sourced all the fabric from Spoonflower, which offered a diverse selection to match our theme.

When it came to furniture, I stumbled upon the perfect antique dresser on the Facebook Marketplace. This online platform is a treasure trove for those seeking unique pieces. Whether you prefer to restore furniture yourself or purchase pieces that have already been revamped, Facebook Marketplace has you covered.

For decorations, I opted for faux flowers. My mother-in-law's talent in crafting faux flower arrangements gifted us a vibrant pop of color on the white dresser.

Masterpiece in the Making

Overall, my advice to you is to do tons of research, make vision boards, and watch your masterpiece come together. If you’re like me, I am a visual person and need to see if it all flows. You can actually order samples from Spoonflower of wallpaper and fabric to help you make the right choice. Best of luck to all of you mamas out there, whatever you do will be perfect!

Until next time.
